Michelle Callahan Wins CREW Boston Professional Services Award

Michelle Callahan, PE, LEED AP, Senior Project Manager at Nitsch, has been honored by CREW Boston as the recipient of the 2025 Professional Services Award! According to CREW Boston, the Professional Service Award is awarded to a “CREW Boston member who is a significant contributor or an emerging leader in the member’s company and/or field of expertise whether through consistent years of superior service and/or through specific notable accomplishments and success.”

As a dedicated Nitsch employee since 2008 (and a Nitsch co-op before that!), as well as a CREW Boston member since 2012, Michelle has proven herself to be a leader who helps drive success at Nitsch, CREW Boston, and her overall communities. As a Senior Project Manager and Team Leader in Nitsch’s civil engineering department, Michelle successfully manages a number of projects while mentoring junior staff to help them navigate their projects. She co-chairs Nitsch’s Council for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and our Women@Work employee resource group; she also serves as co-chair of CREW Boston’s DEI and Membership Committees. She currently serves as a member of Nitsch’s Board of Directors.

In Michelle’s nomination for this Award, Deborah Danik, PE, LEED AP BD+C, Vice President and Director of Civil Engineering at Nitsch said:

I have had the pleasure of working with Michelle for the past 17 years, since she started her career at Nitsch as a co-op. Michelle is an inclusive, collaborative leader and mentor who works to improve the communities she works in, while providing individual support to each of her clients and teammates. She is a significant contributor to the success of Nitsch Engineering.

Amy Korté, AIA, President of Arrowstreet added:

I have had the privilege of serving alongside Michelle as a co-chair of the CREW Boston Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee, and have witnessed firsthand the remarkable dedication, passion, and leadership she contributes—not just to CREW Boston, but to the broader commercial real estate industry.

Michelle is dedicated to making the world around her a better place – and she puts in the work to drive the change she wants to see. Congratulations, Michelle!
