Helping Build the Engineering Pipeline at the BPS STEM Fair

Nitsch has long been committed to building the engineering talent pipeline by educating K-12 students about careers in engineering. At the Boston Public Schools (BPS) Citywide College, Career, and STEM Fair on October 21st, we had the chance to do just that with thousands of BPS students in Roxbury!

The STEM fair focuses on providing opportunities for BPS students, particularly students of color and those from lower-income households, to learn about a range of careers in STEM. Nitsch hosted a table that encouraged students to build the tallest tower possible out of cups, and sharing information about a career in engineering!

Thank you to Gary Pease, PE, LEED AP, Vice President & Director of Client Services for coordinating Nitsch’s attendance at the event in concert with his work with the United Way of Massachusetts Bay’s education initiatives! Additional thanks to Gary; Moses Matovu, Project Designer; and Alexa Bellezza, Project Designer for attending the day-long event and working with students to get them excited about the idea of a career in engineering!
